Salat is the first religious pillar, and the first charity will be sung on the day of assessment. The priority of prayer is not only determined by the time of execution, but also by the place where the prayer is done. Among the most important places to make prayers after the three main mosques (Holy Mosque, Nabawi Mosque, and Aqsa Mosque) are the Quba Mosque, the first mosque built by the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam During migration to Medina. It was a few visits to the Quba Mosque and to apply prayers in it. Lord Story said,

For a mosque, this was founded on the first day that was more appropriate to stand in it

“In fact, the mosque which was founded on the basis of piety (ie the Quba Mosque) since the first day has the right to pray in it.” (QS. At-Taubah: 108) [1]

In this article, we will briefly discuss the hadiths of prayer at the Quba Mosque, priority, implementation procedures, as well as prayers and memories that are regulated to read.

Hadith about prayers at the Quba Mosque

There are a number of hadiths that talk about prayer at the Quba Mosque. Among the most important are as follows,

First: From Sahl bin Hunaif Radhiyallahu ‘anhuRasulullah sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam say,

Anyone who purifies in his house, then he comes as a mosque, and he prayed in it for him as a gift

“Anyone who purifies at his home, then comes to the Quba Mosque, then pray in it prayer, then for him the gift is like Umrah.” (Hours. Ibn Majah 320, respected by al-Albani)

Second: From Ibn Umar Radhiyallahu ‘anhumahe said,

God’s messenger, may God give him up and give him peace, will come to the Quba Mosque, a passenger and livestock, and he prayed in it two rak’ahs

“Rasulullah sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam Usually comes to the Quba Mosque in a walk and walking, and he frustrates it in two rak’ahs. “

In another history mentioned,

I see the Prophet coming to him every Saturday

“I see the Prophet coming to the mosque every Saturday.” (HR. Bukhari and Muslim) [2]

The virtue of the prayer at the Quba Mosque

Prayers at the Quba Mosque have very great privileges. Among others are:

First: The reward is equivalent to Umrah. As mentioned in the Hadith Sahl bin Hunaif Radhiyallahu ‘anhu Told by Ibn Majah above.

Second: Is a mosque that was founded on the basis of piety since the first day, God encouraged and motivated us to perform prayers there.

Third: A form of compliance with God and his messenger.

Fourth: Become a unifying place of the believers.

Fifth: This functions as a fortress and protection for Islam and Muslims.

The fourth point above (second to fifth point), comes from the word Ibn Kathir in his interpretation of Surah At-Taubah Verse 108. He said,

Then he urged him to pray at the dome mosque of the person found since the first day of his development, and it was God’s obedience, and the obedience of believers, made sense, and was inhabited by Islam and his family; And for this, the Almighty says: {for the mosque that was established based on piety since the first day is more feasible to ride in it} and those in the Quba Mosque

“Then Allah encourages (the Prophet and his people) to perform prayers in the Quba Mosque, which is the mosque which from the first day of its construction has been established on the basis of piety. The prayer in it is a form of obedience to God and obedience to His Messenger, as well as a means to unite the sentences of the believers, as well as being a fortress and a shelter for Islam and its hosts. Story say (which means), ‘Really, the mosque which was founded on the basis of piety since the first day, is more entitled to you pray in it‘(QS. At-Taubah: 108). ” [3]

Procedures for praying at the Quba Mosque

First: Hurred from home or place of origin

Is a Muslim to purify (in front) first in his residence (or hotel to stay), then go to the Quba Mosque. This is in line with the word of the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam In the history of Ibn Majah above. Some scholars consider this sunnah to be a requirement to get the virtues in the form of Umrah’s reward, as we will mention in the next sub-chapter.

Second: Salt that can be fardu or sunnah

There are no special restrictions; Prayers performed at the Quba Mosque can be in the form of fardu prayers if the time is together, or the Sunnah Prayer of two rak’ahs as the Prophet usually does sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam. This is also based on Ibn Majah’s hadith above.

Third: The most organized day is Saturday

Based on authentic hadith Ibn Umar, as mentioned above. An-Nawawi Rahimahullah say,

It is the desired musthabb to ensure that the Quba Mosque will come on Saturday, I confirm the approach of his visit and pray in it …

“It was colored by a strong emphasis on the Quba Mosque, especially on Saturday, with the intention to approach God through visits and prayers in it.” (Then he mentioned the argument about it) [4]

Is purifying from home a condition?

The scholars of disputes, is purification from home a requirement to get the virtue in the form of Umrah’s reward? Some scholars argue that it is a condition (to get the virtues of reward such as Umrah) [5]And others state that it is not a condition. As-Sindi Rahimahullah in the Hasyiyah on Sunan Ibnu Majah explain,

The proverb: (anyone who purifies at his house) ‌ is a restriction of this that gold is for the mosque, only for those who are close to the house from him …

“The Prophet said,”Whoever is purified in his house‘, the possibility of this condition is not something that is absolute to obtain the reward, but only an explanation that the person in question is a resident around … ” [6]

But there is no doubt that the most careful attitude (Al-Aḥwaṭ) To get such priorities is to purify before leaving for the Quba Mosque, as the practice of hadith. Wallaahu a’lam. [7]

Can be a long journey (Syaddur-rihāl) Especially for visiting the Quba Mosque?

A person cannot travel long distances (Syaddur-rihāl) with a special purpose for praying at the Quba Mosque. Rasulullah sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam say,

Do not attract travelers except three mosques: Holy Mosque, Prophet’s envoy, may God backed him up and give him peace, and Al -Aqsa Mosque.

Cannot make long distance trips (syaddur-rihāl) except for three mosques: Holy Mosque, God’s messenger (Masjah Sallallahu Mosque ‘Alaihi wa Sallam (Nabawi Mosque), and Al-Aqsa Mosque.(Muttafaqun ‘alaihi)

Sheikh bin Baaz Rahimahullah It was asked the problem, and he answered,

No, travelers tightened into three mosques, but the Quba Mosque in the city entered the conflicting car, but he came from outside the city, not, the messenger ﷺ visited it from the city, passengers or the road, peace and blessings were on it.

No, because of the long journey (Syaddur-rihāl) Only allowed to go to three mosques, namely: the Grand Mosque, the Nabawi Mosque, and the Al-Aqsa Mosque. The Quba Mosque in Medina, may be visited by the residents of Medina or who are in it, both on foot or driving, as did the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam Who used to visit the Quba Mosque from Medina, in a state of driving or walking. However, one should not travel far from other countries, with a special purpose for praying at the Quba Mosque, because it is permissible Syaddur-Rhal These are only three main mosques. ” [8]

Prayer and reading warnings

Related to prayer and dhikr that is read specifically in the prayer at the Quba Mosque, we have not found any special prayer and dhikr. Wallaahu a’lam.

So, may Allah Story Give us Taufik to practice it with sincere intentions and follow the sunnah of his Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam.
