In the current era, with the ease of accessing information and openness, it is very vulnerable to a Muslim to fall into the actions of Gibah and Namimah. Two major sins that endanger a Muslim, but sometimes most of us fall into it. Either because it is easy to receive information that is not clear, uncostal in a truth, or laziness to do tabayyun And clarification, a Muslim sometimes easily writes comments that are loaded with Gibah and Namimah to other Muslim brothers. Really, this is very unfortunate and must be our common concern.

In this article, we will show back, verses and hadiths and brief discussions related to the dangers of Gibah and Namimah. Hopefully we all learn from Him and be careful because they fall into these two major sins.

My dear brothers and sisters, the act of complaining of sheep, namimah, and throwing news that will destroy the relationship of a Muslim with another Muslim. This kind of action is illegal without disputes between scholars. Sharia arguments clearly show naming Namimah and Gibah. Lord Story While giving the Prophet Muhammad defense Shoullahu ‘alaihi wasallam In Surah al-Qalam, among His commands to the Prophet Muhammad is to stay away from those who like to pit sheep. Then, what is the law if we ourselves do the sheep fighting activities ourselves? Of course this is more forbidden in the sight of Allah Story. Allah Story said,

And don’t obey every insulting hall

“And don’t obey all those who swear and humiliate, who like to criticize, who go to spread the name (sheep). (Surah Al-Qala: 10-11)

The dangers of gibah and pitting sheep

So many threats and dangers of Namimah and Gibah that Allah and his messengers are mentioned in the Qur’an and Hadith, including:

First: is one of the causes of big torture

Prophet Shoullahu ‘alaihi wasallam One day passed through two graves whose residents were tortured. He said,

They were tortured, and they were not tortured in greatness, but one of them was not stabbed from urine, but the other walked with dominance, then he was wet with two descriptions, then he was implanted in every grave, so they said: o God’s messenger, why did you make this? He said: Maybe it’s to free them from what they don’t wear

“Indeed, their two inhabitants were tortured, and they were not tortured because of their big sins (in human view). Then he took a wet dates, then divided them into two parts, then set parts in each tomb. He said, ‘Hopefully the torture of the two is reduced during this date not yet dry.‘”(HR. Bukhari no. 218 and Muslim no. 292)

Second: That is a reason to go to hell

Prophet Shoullahu ‘alaihi wasallam say,

Heaven does not enter sleep

“It doesn’t go to heaven people who like to pit sheep among humans.” (HR. Bukhari no. 6056 and Muslim no. 105, the text of this hadith is a Muslim history)

Third: get direct insults from the Prophet Shoullahu ‘alaihi wasallam

He said,

Don’t I tell you better than the level of fasting, prayer, and charity? They said: Yes, he said: reforming the same thing, and corruption from the same country

“Will you tell me about something better than the degree of fasting, praying, and alms? ‘ They answered, ‘Sure.’ He said, ‘reconciling disputes between humans, and damaging relationships between humans is destroyers (reward). “ (HR. Abu Dawud no. 4919 and spoken by Sheikh al-Albani in the book Shahih Abi Dawud)

The act of pitting sheep, is closely related to the sin of Gibah, because Gibah Indeed is mentioning other people’s disgrace or things they don’t like, so that often people who hear this will hate it. Rasulullah once asked his friends,

Do you know what the absence is? They said: God and his messengers know, he said: Your sister reminds you of what is not realized. It is said: You see if you’re in my brother, what do I say? He said: If you say what you say, then you have been overwhelmed, and if he is not in it, he has lost it.

“Do you know, what is Gibah?” The friends answered, “Allah and his messengers know better.” Then he said, “You mention your brother with something he doesn’t like.” Ask, “What if what do I say to my brother?” He said, “If what you say is to him, then you have taken it. (HR. Muslim no. 2589)

By informing someone’s crime, we instill the seeds of hatred against other Muslim brothers to that person. This is Namimah’s clear reality about his frustration.

The-Buhawi Rahimahullah said about Gibah, “Gibah is when you mention something that is in your brother, while he does not like it. Either you call it your verbal, or in your writing, or by cues, or by blinking your eyes, or hands, or head. The limit is: Every what you deliver to others who show the shortcomings of a Muslim, then it is a forbidation. (Book of Al-Adzkar, matter. 522)

The scholars agree that Gibah is a big sin as well as pitting sheep, the culprit must repent and ask forgiveness from God. Allah Story said,

Does anyone like to eat their siblings when you die, so you think it

“Is one of you like eating the meat of her died brother? (Surah Al-Hujurat: 12)

Prophet Muhammad Shoullahu ‘alaihi wasallam It also shows the bad consequences of Gibah and Namimah in the afterlife. He said,

When I was destroyed, I went through people who had nails from copper, and they were fascinated by their faces and chests, so I said: Who is this, Gabriel? He said: Those who eat people’s flesh, and in their symptoms

“When I was discussed (lifted to the sky when Isra ‘Mi’raj), I passed a people who had nails from copper. They scratched their faces and chest. I asked,’ Who are they, O Jibril? ‘ Gabriel answered, ‘They are people who eat human flesh and drop their pride. “ (HR. Abu Dawud no. 4878 and spoken by Sheikh al-Albani in the book Sahih at-Targhib NO. 2839)

Some tips to keep ourselves away from sheep and gibah fighting

First: Remember the crime in the afterlife produced. Prophet Muhammad Shoullahu ‘alaihi wasallam say,

You find from people on the day of resurrection with God with two people who come to these faces, and this is his face

“You will find among the worst of humans on the Day of Judgment on the sight of Allah are two-faced people, who come to this group with one face and the group with another face.” (HR. Bukhari no. 3493 and Muslim no. 2526)

Second: Think about the amount of our rewards that will be lost because of Gibah and Namimah. Rasulullah Shoullahu ‘alaihi wasallam say,

Do you realize what’s wrong? They said: the one who is the one who doesn’t have their dirhams or belongs to us, and he said: the man who is from my nation comes on the day of the resurrection with prayer, fasting, and zakat, and you will have this, and this Deeds, and this is from his goodness, so if his good deeds are before he spent what he has has to take from his sins, then he was screaming at him

“Do you know who is bankrupt?” They answered, “O Messenger of God, people who go bankrupt among us are people who do not have dirhams and do not have property.” He said, “Indeed, the bankruptcy of my people is a person who came on the day of assessment with gifts of prayer, fasting, and zakat, but he came (after) insulting this, accusing this, eating this property, spilling this blood, and defeating it. They, then bury it, then throw it into hell.” (HR. Muslim no. 2581)

Third: Before talking about other people and their shortcomings then complain of their sheep, mirror and see our shortcomings first.

Realize that no human is perfect. Remember! Of course we will not want to make other people embarrass and drop us, so how can we treat others with something we don’t like?! Know that this feeling causes pain for others. Before you think about other people who will make us Gibah or Namimah, it’s better to be better for ourselves (to clarify) and to ensure the truth first.

Fourth: Look for friends who are pious and talked about with good people.

Look for a friendship environment that keeps us from Gibah, talking about others, and causes hostility among Muslims.

Let’s clean our hearts and orally from the prejudice, Gibah, and also Namimah. Be more careful in social media, it is not easy to comment and spread information that is not yet clear, especially if it results in hostility among Muslims.

The sin of Gibah and Namimah sometimes looks very small, just because our fingers need less than one minute without feeling overwhelmed in the hereafter.
