Wa’alaikumussalam wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh
MBG as food, as long as the food is halal and the method of obtaining it is also halal, then it is halal for the recipient according to its intended purpose, namely school students.
The law cannot be enforced by unclear descriptions, so prohibiting something without a reason is also prohibited behavior.
Allah ﷻ says:
And do not say when your tongue tells a lie: It is permissible and it is haram, to invent lies against God. Indeed, those who fabricate lies against God will not succeed
And do not tell lies about what your tongue says, “this is halal and this is haram”, to invent lies against Allah. Indeed, people who invent lies against Allah will not be successful. (QS. An Nahl: 116)
If there is corruption in the MBG procurement, it must also be clear which part is corrupt. In certain lines or all lines, if there is no clarity, then it is still just a rumor.
I personally am one of those who doesn’t agree with MBG, I prefer the free education program. But if it is a matter of prohibition, then you have to be extra careful.

Dislike of something is not a sharia law variable.
Halal and haram are determined by the system and the food substances.
If it is free from haram elements such as fraud, usury, injustice, risywah, etc… Then it is halal.
It’s just that this particular person is inconsistent, claiming to be anti-MBG but seeking profits from MBG.
