ANSWER

Wa’alaikumussalam warahmatullahi wabarakatuh
What he did (David’s fast) was more than enough. So it is not recommended for him to perform other sunnah fasts, although it is not prohibited if he wants to do so, but it is not recommended.
The argument:
From the history of Abdullah bin Amr bin Al-Aas radhiyallahu ‘anhu to both of them, the Messenger of Allah SAW said to him: The prayer that Allah loves most is the prayer of David (AS). The fast that Allah loves most is David’s fast. He used to sleep in the middle of the night and pray a third of the time, and sleep a sixth of the time. He would fast one day and break his fast. One day
From Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-As radhiyallahu ‘anhuma, that Muhammad ﷺ said to him:
“The prayer that Allah loves most is the prayer of Prophet David ‘alaihissalam, and the fast that Allah loves most is the fast of Prophet David. He slept half the night, woke up to pray a third, then slept a sixth. And he fasted one day, and broke the fast one day.”
(HR. Muttafaq ‘Alaih)
Another hadith tells of a strong man David fasting and then he asked for extra, but Rasulullah ﷺ said there was no need, because it was the best.
Also from Abdullah bin Amr, he said: “The Messenger of Allah, may God bless him and grant him peace, was told that I said: By God, I will fast during the day, and I will stay up all night.” I was still alive, so I said to him: I say this in the name of my father and my mother.
He said: You are not able to do this, so fast and break the fast, then get up and sleep, then fast for three days a month, because a good deed is rewarded tenfold. It’s like fasting for life.
I said: I can do better than that.
He said: Fast one day and break the fast for two days.
I said: I can do better than that.
He said: Fast one day and break the fast another day. That is the fast of David (AS), and that is the most important fast.
I said: I can do better than that.
The Prophet Muhammad SAW said: “There is nothing better than that.”
And from Abdullah bin Amr bin al-Ash he also said:
Until the news came to Muhammad ﷺ that I said: “By Allah, I will continue to fast during the day and I will continue to pray at night as long as I live.”
Then he said to me. So I answered: “Yes, I say it, for the sake of my father and mother as your ransom.”
He says:
So fast and break your fast, get up at night and sleep. And fast three days every month, because one deed is rewarded tenfold, and it is like fasting all year round.”
I said: “Surely I can do better than that.”
He says:
“Then fast one day and break the fast for two days.”
I said: “Surely I can do better than that.”
He says:
“Then fast one day and break the fast one day. That is the fast of David ‘alaihissalam, and that is the most important fast.”
Then I said: “In fact, I can do better than that.”
So the Prophet ﷺ said:
“There’s nothing more important than that.”
(HR. Muttafaq ‘Alaih)
Sheikh Muhammad Salih al Munajjid said:
It is clear that it is not advisable to increase it, and satisfaction with this type of fasting will save the person who undertakes it from additional expense, and make the additional amount preferable and undesirable.
This clearly shows that adding to this type of fasting is not advisable, and that being content with this type of fasting already means that the practitioner does not need to force any additional supplements. Even the addition to it becomes something less important and is not recommended. (Al Islam Su’aal wa Jawaab no. 297278)
Thus. Wallahu A’lam

A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
