History of the Quba Mosque

In the story of the Prophet’s pilgrimage Shoullahu ‘alaihi wasallam And his friends from the city of Mecca to Medina, there were so many lessons and priorities learned by Muslims at that time. Not to mention, Muslims sacrificed so much, they left their homes in Mecca, they left the wealth they had collected for years, they left their families in the city of Mecca. All of this is to obey God’s commands and his messengers to emigrate to the city of Medina.

God never disappointed His servants. By emigrating the Prophet Shoullahu ‘alaihi wasallam And his friends to the city of Medina, God replaced their loss and sadness with greater favors; Namely freedom in worship and carrying out Islamic Sharia, there is no one that disturbs them in carrying it out, even the Muslims can ultimately establish their own places of worship, building mosques in which they can be free to worship and mate to God without disturbance.

Brother all, if we are asked about the mosque what was first built by the Muslims, then the answer is the Quba Mosque, the mosque that was built on piety to God Story By the Prophet Muhammad Shoullahu ‘alaihi wasallam.

Ibnul Qayyim said in his book “Seed Al-Ma’ad” (3: 58) When mentioning the story of the arrival of the Prophet Shoullahu ‘alaihi wasallam to the city of Medina, “Muslims are happy to be happy with their arrival and they go to find it … he continued his journey to Quba, in the village of Bani Amr bin Auf, and lived with them for fourteen nights. When he stopped, he founded the Quba Mosque, the first mosque was established after Prophecy.”

Sheikh Al-‘Allamah Muhammad Al-Amin Asy-Syinqihi Rahimahullah said,

In terms of relative priority: the sacred mosque is the first house to be placed for people, the Quba mosque was the first mosque built by Muslims, the sacred mosque built by Hebron, and the Quba mosque built by the seal of the messengers, and the sacred mosque was built Choice from God and Similar to the Place of the Quba Mosque

“From the first side of the mosque to be relative: the sacred mosque is the first (Allah) house to be placed for humanity, and the quba mosque is the first mosque built by the Muslims, the sacred mosque was built Apostles (Muhammad), The Sacred Mosque is Chosen by Allah and so on. “ (Adhwa ‘Al-Bayan, 8: 326)

The Quba Mosque is the first mosque that was built directly by the hands of the Prophet Shoullahu ‘alaihi wasallam And his friends in 1 Hijriyah or 622 AD in Quba, about 5 km southeast of Medina. Told by Shahabiyat Ash-Syamus binti an-nu’man, he Radhiyallahu Anha telling you,

I looked at the messenger of God, hopefully God’s prayers and peace are on him, when He comes and comes down and erecting this mosque, the Quba Mosque, so I see him taking the stone and the stone until the stone makes him fascinated and see vaginal discharge on his stomach or his secret, so he comes to him, so he comes into my Father, so he comes to the same Father, o. “I saw when the Prophet Sallallaahu ‘Alaihi Wasallam came, stopped, and established this mosque, the Quba Mosque. I saw him taking stones and stones until the stone hurt him. I saw his white dust in the stomach or navel.” (Narrated by Imam At-Tabrani, 24: 318 [802] and Abu Nu’aim on Ma’rifat Ash-Shahabah, 7713)

Allah Story Praise the people who developed this mosque and the friends of the congregation in it. Lord Story said,

There has never been a mosque where the mosque was based on piety since the beginning of purification

“Do not worship in the mosque forever (Dhirar Mosque, a mosque built by hypocrites). Indeed the mosque was established based on fear (Quba Mosque), because the first day is better for you to pray in it. In the mosque there are people who like to purify and clean. (QS. At-Taubah: 108)

Indeed, the Quba Mosque is one of the mosques that has great priorities and is a sign of the story of the Prophet’s pilgrimage Shoullahu ‘alaihi wasallam. A Muslim in the city of Medina should visit him and pray in it. This is a form of our love and obedience to the Prophet Shoullahu ‘alaihi wasallam And as a form of habit.

Priority of the Quba Mosque

The Quba Mosque is a mosque that has a special place in the hearts of our Prophet Muhammad Shoullahu ‘alaihi wasallam. This is because of his love for the residents around the mosque who had welcomed him when he first came to the city of Madinah.

His love can be seen from his habit of taking a special time in order to visit the Quba Mosque regularly, even the scholars said that he visited the Quba Mosque every week. In the book Sahih Bukhari mentioned,

Prophet, hopefully God’s prayers and peace will accompany him, first come to the news mosque from every insult and walk. And Abdullah bin Omar, may God be happy with them, do it

“Rasulullah 1 Usually go to the Quba Mosque every Saturday. He came to him by walking or driving a vehicle. And Abdullah bin Umar Radhiyallahu ‘Anhuma did the same thing. “ (HR. Bukhari no. 1193 and Muslim no. 1399)

In another hadith, Ibnu Umar’s best friend explained Sunnah visited the Quba Mosque in more detail,

That Ibn Omar, may God be happy with them, not praying from the victim except on two days: a day to lead to Mecca; He sacrificed him and he floated with the house, then he prayed two rak’ah behind the position, and on the day of the mosque, the mosque came. Because every curse will come to him, and if the mosque enters his hatred to get out of it until he prayed in it, he said: He spoke: that the messenger of God, may Sun and God’s peace be on it, said: on the contrary, it was made, as I saw, and they could not prevent anyone from praying at any time, unless you did not drill burden, not burden

“Ibn Umar Radhiyallahu ‘Anhuma did not perform the Dhuha prayer except on two days: (1) the day when he arrived at Mecca; because he arrived there at the time of Dhuha, then Tawaf in the Kaaba, then the Pray for two rak’ahs behind the Ibrahim Masa; and (2) days when he came to the Quba Mosque; He said telling the condition at that time that the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wasallam visited him (the Quba mosque) by driving and walking. ” He (Abdullah bin Umar) said again, “In fact I do as I see my friends doing it, and I do not forbid anyone to pray at any time he wants, both night and daytime. It’s just that, do not deliberately choose prayers at the time of the sun rise and sunset.” (Hours. Bukhari no. 1191)

For those who are in Medina, both in the context of Hajj or Umrah, it is highly recommended to come and perform prayers at the Quba Mosque, because this is one of the sunnahs of the Prophet Shoullahu ‘alaihi wasallam What he practices regularly.

Prophet Shoullahu ‘alaihi wasallam Also present for us will have a big prize for those who come to the Quba Mosque and pray, at least two rak’ahs. He said in the hadith narrated by Sahl Bin Hunaif’s friend Radhiyallahu ‘anhu,

Anyone who purifies in his house and then comes to a mosque, and he prayed in it the prayer he had like his gift

“Anyone who purifies at his home, and he comes to the Quba Mosque, and he prayed in it, the gift was like a gift Umrah.” (HR. Ibnu Majah no. 1412, An-Nasai no. 699. Al-Hafizh Abu Thahir said that this hadith hasan)

In the historical hadith of the Tirmidhi is mentioned by a different lafazes,

Prayer at the news mosque

“Prayers at the Quba Mosque, (the prize) like Umrah.” (HR. Tirmidzi no. 324 and Ibn Majah no. 1411. Al-Hafizh Abu Thahir said that this hadith hasan)

With a man who had been kidnapped first from his residence, then went to the Quba Mosque and two rak’ahs in it, he had received a gift for the rewards of umrah worship. This is a big priority and must be used by Muslims when they are in the city of Medina.

Say: If you love God, then follow me, God will love you and forgive you for you

“Say, ‘If you (really) love God, then follow my (guidance), then God loves you and forgives your sins, God forgives, the most compassionate.'” (Surah Ali ‘Imran: 31)

There are great priorities for those who revive the Sunnah of the Prophet Shoullahu ‘alaihi wasallamTeaching it, then many of the Muslims who helped revive it. Rasulullah Shoullahu ‘alaihi wasallam say,

Anyone who lives for a year of my sunnah, then people do it he has the same prize

“Anyone who revives a sunnah from my sunnah, then practiced by humans, then he will get (gifts) as a gift from those who practice it, without reducing their gifts.” (HR. Ibn Majah no. 209, while there are weaknesses, but this hadith is strengthened by other history. Sahih Ibn Majah, NO. 173)
