Knowing the names of the beautiful Gods and their noble attributes are an important part of monotheism. Especially uluhiyah monotheism, which demands that we only surrender, fear, and worship God. Names like Al-Cahir And Al-Qahhaar Reminds us that no creatures can escape His power and will.

In this article, we will discuss the arguments that set the name of Allah Al-Cahir And Al-QahhaarThe meaning contained in both, and its impact on the life of a believer. Hopefully this discussion instills a submission, right fear, and pure scattering, as well as presenting peace because it knows that all matters are in His grasp.

The name of Allah “Al-Qa’ir” And “Al-Qahhaar”

Number “Al-Qa’ir” mentioned in the Qur’an twice, namely:

  • In God’s Word Tap,

And he is the person who is the person who is the person.

“And he is the Almighty in his servants, and he is a wise man, all who knows.” (Surah Al-three: 18)

And he is a person who is a person who has the authority of his worshipers and sends you sacrifice

“And he is the Almighty in his servants, and he sent a guardian (angel) to you …” (Surah Al-three: 61)

While name “Al-Qahhaar” mentioned six times, including:

Say God is the creator of everything

“Say, God is the creator of everything, and He is the only true God.” (Surah Ar-Ra’d: 16)

Fill in the meaning of the name of Allah “Al-Qa’ir” And “Al-Qahhaar”

To find out the contents of God’s name completely, we need to know the meaning of the word first “Al-Qa’ir” And “Al-Qahhaar” language, then in its context as the name of God Story.

The meaning of language from “Al-Qa’ir” And “Al-Qahhaar”

Al-Cahir is Ism Fā’il (said the perpetrator) from (Recovery) Qhahara – Others. which means “reduce”. [2] Whereas Al-Qahhaar is ṣīghat Tubālaghahhaah (Hyperbolic form) From the same root of the word, it means “very and continues to be conquered.” [3]

The origin of the words of the two words is Al-Wroth (Al -qahr) which means to defeat and subdue from above. [4]

Said Ibn Faris,

Endowment, disorders, and heredity are the correct words that indicate dominance and high. Said: mourning purely. And Al -Qahir: the majority

“The letters of Qāf, Hā ‘, and Rā’ formed the root of words that show the meaning of victory and excellence from above. It is said: Qhuqá qharraan qharah otherAnd Al-Cahir means the winner (beat). ” [5]

Al-Fayyumi said,

This is a murmur, so it’s murmur, and that is a murmur and generous man.

Qaharahu Qahran means defeating him. The culprit is called Cine And Qahhaar (in the form of Mubaalaghah). ” [6]

Meaning “Al-Qa’ir” And “Al-Qahhaar” In the context of God

Ibn Jarir Ath-Thabari when interpreting the Word of God Tap,

And he is the most serious

And he is Al-Qahīr to his servants.“(Surah Al-An’am: 18), he said,

The meaning of those words, then: God is dominant from His servants, humiliated, which is very humiliated to them, and creates it to them, because he is above them by oppressing them, and they are without him

“So the meaning is God who defeated His servants, subdued them, and was up to them through His submission and His creation. So He was above them because of His power, and they were under Him.” [7]

Al-Hafidz Ibnu Kathir said,

That is: he is the one who was subjected to the nickname, and the forefathers have been given to him, and the faces have been cursed for him, and all the things of them for them for his greatness, his greatness, his greatness, his righteousness, and his great Destiny, and it was reluctant, and it was clear between his hands and his dignity

“Meaning: He is all his neck that bent to him, the arrogant rulers were hated before him, his face was humble to him, and all things were under his strength. All creatures were humble to the greatness, strength, glory, height, and strength. [8]

Whereas Ash-Shaykh Abdurrahman bin Nashir As-Si’diy said,

He did a comprehensive will and the will in general, so they did not have anything from this problem, and they did not move and did not live except with the permission

“He is the God who regulates all his will for the servants, and his will is comprehensive. They do not have a business, they cannot move or remain silent except with their permission.” [9]

On the other hand, he explained the meaning of this name by saying,

“Daker” for everything, for the creature is targeted, and makes pride, strength, and perfection of their abilities

Al-Qahhaar is the one who subdue everything; All creatures are subject to Him, modestly because of the courage, strength, and perfection of His power. ” [10]

The consequences of the name of Allah “Al-Qa’ir” And “Al-Qahhaar” For servants

Name determination “Al-Qa’ir” And “Al-Qahhaar” For Allah Story Has many consequences, both in terms of nature and dismissal of God, as well as from the servant side. Here are some consequences in terms of servant:

Believed that what was truly almighty (Al-Qahhaar) Only God

God is the only one who defeated and closed all His servants. Even the most proud creatures are small and disappear before God’s power and power. Look at the death-which has been determined by God for all His servants; No one can reject it or get rid of him from himself, even if they have strength and strength.

Allah juxtaposed the mention of death with His nature as Al-QahhaarTo remind people about a form of power with which God conquered them all, in His Word,

And he is a person who is a person who has the authority of his worshipers and sends you to memorize until one of you comes to die, their money is the truth.

“And he is al-Qaahir (who ruled) to his servants. And he sent a guardian to you, so that when death came to one of you, our messengers had forgiven him, and they did not forget their duties. Then they returned to God, their true protectors. (Surah Al-three: 61-62) [11]

Prohibition of conquering others in an evil way

The nature of “subduing” or “defeating” to creatures, usually despicable because it is built on tyranny, oppression, and dominance of weak and poor people. As the words of Phas’aun – Allah’s lack of it,

We will kill their children, and we will look for their women.

“We will kill their son and let their women live. Indeed, we are in power.” (Surah Al-A’rāf: 127)

And Allah also said,

As for orphans, don’t oppress

“As for orphans, then don’t happen arbitrarily.” (Surah Adverthered: 9)

That is: do not oppress him wrongly, give his rights. God mentioned specifically orphans because he has no helpers other than God, so God strengthens the prohibition on violations of himself with a strong threat to the culprit. [12]

It is obligatory to deceive God in worship

About this, Ibnul Qayyim Rahimahullah said,

Only one oppression; Because if he is with him, he won’t be with him.

“Nothing is really worth mentioning Al-Qahhaar Apart from one (ESA). Because if someone is equivalent to him, then if he is unable to defeat the others, it means he is not Qahhār absolutely. And if he is able to defeat his opponent, then the opponent is not equal. So, Al-Qahhaar That’s only one. ” (Ash-Shawā’iq Al-Mursalah, 3: 1032)

This explanation shows that monotheism and faith in the name of Allah Al-Qahhaar are two things that are interrelated. Whoever believes that only God controls and subdks everything, then He must worship only to Him. From this, the shirk is seen: how could the creatures of the ground equate with the Lord of the Universe? How could the creatures be subjected by Al-Qahhaar equated with him? Glory to God about what they have in mercy and the highest of what they describe. [13]

Hopefully the true understanding of these two names, strengthens our faith, foster fear and hope, and keep us away from Shirk and all forms are subject to Him. Amen.
