This requires a political power structure that represents the people collectively, not just scattered small states.

Although most Islamic countries today are formally independent, many are still economically colonized and politically controlled by foreign powers. So, true liberation means freedom in all aspects of life.

Even though Islam has a universal culture: Arabic language, sharia values, manners, clothing, and others. “Bringing culture closer” means uniting people around the same Islamic cultural identity, so that ukhuwah and unity are built. So that Islamic nationalism is not limited by territorial lines but is limited by the sentence of Tauhid.

This means uniting the vision, mission and political decisions of Muslims. Muslims today often have different opinions and conflict with each other in responding to local, national and international issues. What is meant here is to build a unified attitude and voice of Muslims on a global scale, which is only possible if there is shared leadership.

The aim of all the efforts above is to re-establish the supremacy of Islamic leadership on earth – an Islamic government system that unites the people under one leader and implements the sharia as a whole.

What is meant is the true unity of Muslims, not just slogans or formal organizations. A unity colored by faith, Islamic brotherhood, and binding sharia. This unity is a hope (المنشودة), because it has long been lost and longed for by the scattered people.

The sensitivity of a person’s faith will always long for the unity of all Muslims in the world with one leadership that oversees all.
