Witir 1 rak'ah prayer, right?

QUESTION:

Mr. Ustadz Numan.
I get used to after the Sunnah Bakdiah Isha prayer, I continue with the Witir 1 people’s prayers.
From the information that I have heard about this proposition from the opinion of Imam Shafi’i.
Is it true.

Wa’alaikumussalam warahmatullah wabarakatuh

Witir 1 rak’ah can, remain sunnah, the Prophet ﷺ who ordered:

From Abu Ayyub Al Anshari radhiallahu ‘anhu, that the Prophet ﷺ said:

Al -wattir is the right for every Muslim, anyone who likes to be killed by five people, let him do it, and anyone who likes to be seen with the third, let him do it, and anyone who doesn’t do it

“Witir is the right for every Muslim, anyone who wants to do five rak’ats and he must do it and anyone who wants to do three rak’ats then he must do it, And anyone who wants to do one rak’at then he must do it. “ (HR. Abu David No. 1420, defined by Shaykh Syu’aib Al Arnauth, Sheikh Al Albani, Sheikh Ayman Shalih Sya’ban, etc.)

Ibn Abi Malikah said:

It is said to Ibn Abbas: Do you have a loyal Muawiyah commander, because it’s only one? He said: he is a legal expert.

“It is said to Ibn Abbas: What do you think about Amirul Mu’minin Muawiyah, that he does not do intelligence but one rak’ah?” Ibn Abbas replied: “He is right, he is a religious person.” (Hours. Bukhari No. 3554)
