Question:

We have a philosophical teacher in a middle school from the city of Annaba who asks his students: “If Allah is Almighty for everything, can he create a God that is stronger than Him or who is equal to Him?” How should we answer it? Jazakumullah khairan.

Answer:

All praise to God, God the universe. Greetings and greetings can be poured out to envoys sent as blessings to the whole world, to their family, friends, and followers until the day of judgment. But not.

Allah Story All -to -create everything without exception, as long as something before was ‘Adam (Absent) that meet the requirements for existence. This is what is called Al-Mumkin Al-Jiz (which may and may be owned), such as the universe and all parts. Impossible substance (like creating another God) is not a real thing, but only in imagination.

Whereas Must (Which must be there) – that is, Allah Story Along with the attributes attached to the daze-may not be determined by creating or destroying themselves. That is, he was not created and could not be destroyed. He is an unpredictable person with absence. Its existence comes from the essence, for the essence, not because of external or external factors. This is the meaning of his word,

This is the first and last

“He is the beginning and end.” (Surah Al-Hadid: 3)

That is, there was nothing before Him and nothing after Him. Therefore, it should not be said, “Allah created His own essence,” Because Khalaq (creation) is doing something from absence, while God Story not preceded by absence.

“If there is a god other than God in heaven and earth, they will be destroyed. (Surah Al-Anbijah: 22)

What God took from a son, and what was with him was from God, then everything God gave, with what He created, and maybe some of them, with God’s authority.

“God has no children, and there is no other God with him. If any, every God will bring his own creation, and some will defeat the others. (Surah Al-Munkminun: 91)

Ibn Kathir Rahimahullah said, “If there are many God, each of them will master his own creation, so that the universe will not be regular.

What you see in the most loving creation

“You will not see something unbalanced in the creation of God the most loving.” (Surah Al-Mulk: 3)

In addition, every God will try to defeat others, so that there is a conflict. Kalam scholars call this evidence as the argument and continue ‘ (Argument of impossibility of many God). For example, if there are two creators, then one wants to move the object and the other wants to stop it. If the wishes of the two are not realized, it means they are weak (impossible for God). If one is successful, it means he is a true God, while the others are creatures (because God cannot be defeated). This is the meaning of His Word,

Maybe some of them for each other

“And some of the gods will defeat some others. The Holy God from what they are utilized.” (Surah Al-Munkminun: 91)

That is, the sanctity of God from their cruelty that he said that he was born or related. “

Conclusion

God’s power Story not related to Must (Himself), because He is not a creature. Likewise, His power is not related to impossible things, because it is impossible is an unreal absence-so it is not included in His Word,

And that’s for everything

“And he is the strength of everything.” (Surah Al-Maidah: 120)

It should be noted that nothing is impossible for God’s will and power in terms of inability (‘Ajz), both possible, opposite, contradictory, or impossible. It’s just that His power is not related to impossible because it is not something that exists. We determine the will and absolute power for God, as well as denying everything that is not appropriate for Him-such as allies, wives, children, or helpers.

Warning

Actually, this kind of question does not need to be asked. The philosophical teacher who provoked his students was a Sufis who likes to play with logic, spread doubts, and try to damage straight creeds. Must be careful from him, from Greek philosophy, as well as its followers and pems.

And knowledge (true) only exists before Allah Ta’ala. The closing of our prayers is praise to God, the Lord of the universe. May Allah bestow our Prophet Muhammad, his family, his friends, and his followers until the day of judgment.
