Can we be happy if there are enemies who then suffer and even die?
Since the Iran vs Israel & USA war, there have been facts that several IDF soldiers who had shown cruelty towards Palestinian Muslims were attacked and seriously injured and died.
Please explain..

Hearing the news of the enemy’s defeat or death, then believers rejoice is permissible. Even if the enemy’s death is at the hands of another enemy. Like the defeat of the Magi (Persians) when defeated by the Christians (Romans), which is immortalized in the Ar Rum letter:
And on that day the believers rejoiced
And on that day (the Roman victory) the believers rejoiced (QS. Ar Rum: 4)
The reason for this joy was explained by Abdullah bin Abbas Radhiyallahu ‘Anhuma:
The polytheists were happy if the Persians controlled the Romans because they were pagans, and the Muslims liked the Romans to control the Persians because they were the People of the Book.
The polytheists were happy if the Persians won against the Romans, because they were both idol worshipers. Meanwhile, the Muslims preferred the Roman victory over the Persians because they were the people of the book. (Tafsir Al Qurthubi, 1/14)
So, when war infidels such as Zionist soldiers are killed, whether at the hands of the Mujahideen Izzuddin al Qassam or others, then we can rejoice.
Rasulullah ﷺ was also happy with the death of Quraish leaders during the Battle of Badr, as well as the death of Ka’ab bin Asyraf, a Medina Jew who always cursed Islam and himself.
