The law intentionally the evening prayers in the dark

The ability to get up at night, bow, and bow before God, is a great help and very expensive taufik. Those who can fulfill that are chosen slaves, souls who are willing to leave their comfort when most people die to their Lord. Lord Story praise them in His Word,

“They are far from their beds, they pray to their Lord with fear and hope, and they bring some of the food we give to them. Then no one knows what is hidden to them, namely, namely, which is a gift for what they are doing.” (Qs. As-Sajdah: 16-17)

However, perhaps we are already familiar with a habit that is quite commonly found related to night prayers, both at home and in many mosques, namely to fulfill it in the dark. So, how is the law of intentional like this? Does it include heresy and forbidden in religion?

The law of prayer in the dark

Originally, there are no special provisions from the Shari’a, whether the prayer is good to be established in light or dark. Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Baz Rahimahullah Once explained this in his fatwa,

There is nothing wrong with praying in darkness if he knows Qiblah and becomes Qiblah, then not ashamed to pray in darkness, and is not necessary for him for the presence of light, and it is not necessary, but it is permitted, if he does not need to be known, there is nothing to know, if there is nothing to know and does not need to be known, no need to know, no need to know, do not know, if there is no wrong It is known, no need to know, no need to know, nothing is wrong, no need to know. That this is not related to this, the prayer is truly true, whether it is in light or in darkness if it’s a kiss. Yes

“It’s okay to be in darkness, as long as he knows and faces Qiblah. Therefore, it is not possible to pray in darkness. No light is needed in prayer. It is not mandatory, but the law is not possible. This is not a problem (to determine) prayer in light or dark.

In essence, prayers are not related to this. Salat remains absolutely valid, both done in light and dark, during the Qibla and the conditions are met. ” (Fatwa nur ‘ala ad-darb)

This fatwa explains the law of someone who has lighting such as lights, flashlights, and such as, but choose prayers in the dark. Then, the ability to pray in this condition applies both to mandatory prayer and sunnah prayers, including night prayers. Prayers in dark states do not become heresy, as long as it is not believed that this is prescribed or has a special virtue rather than praying with lighting.

Dark night, brighter for the heart

We need to note the thickness, that whether praying when light or dark, the most important thing is the sincerity and presence of the heart in it. Please turn off lighting, if it is felt to be able to help us more solemn, feel comfortable there is no visible to anyone but God when shedding resting tears from various regret and burden of life, or feeling calm and safe in solitude when pouring out our complaints.

Although their condition may be more strange hundreds of times than we experienced today.
