Responsibility of independence
Allah Story Creating humans in an independent state. This gives people the opportunity to want and choose, so we are basically not forced to practice. One proof of this is the word of the Prophet ﷺ,
God is allowed for me from my nation, sin and humans
“Indeed, Allah forgives the mistakes of my unintentional people, because of forgetting, and forced.” [1]
We do not accept the consequences of the actions carried out because of coercion, that is, when we are not independent in making decisions. [2] However, it has become an agreement that each event has a cause and effect. When we are given the freedom to choose and want, like it or not we must also be prepared to bear the consequences of these choices. This consequence is not only logical, but also confirmed in the Word of God Tap,
Anyone who does the truth, leave him alone
“Anyone who does good, then (the prize) for himself; and anyone who committed a crime, (as a result) of his. (QS. Fusshilat: 46)
Thus, in fact we are just independent in choosing, and will never be independent (read: free) from the consequences of our own decisions.
The important thing we need to realize when choosing to be independent is that afterwards, it does not mean that the problem is resolved. A pile of problems will actually arise after independence. Not a few nations who have been independent for decades, but today the people are still colonized by stupidity, poverty, and even hunger. The core problem is one, which is not wise in addressing independence. This actually only produces a move from one colonialism, towards another colonial form.
Islam teaches that there is no absolute independence, but there is only “independence” as a right that will never be separated from various obligations as a consequence. [3] Therefore, maybe we should not limit the meaning of independence to freedom, but need to be completed into freedom to do things that should be done, and freedom not to do things that should be avoided. Standards regarding what things that should be done or abandoned are certainly returned to God Tap, The dignity of blessings and strengths we can feel the goodness of independence.
The first problem after-Merdeka
When we choose independence, the problem that might come earlier is fear in making decisions, whether the choices we make are true or not. For people who believe, actually this problem has been resolved before we think about it. Imagine, if you get independence in choosing it has become a happy thing, what else if we are always helped to get the best results, when we don’t realize that our will is not the right choice.
This is the belief that is always held by believers, especially when their desires are not in accordance with reality. Allah Story said,
And it’s good for you to hate something, and that’s the best for you.َ
“… you can hate something, but it’s good for you, and maybe you like something, but it’s bad for you. God knows, while you don’t know.” (Surah Al-Baqarah: 216).
Rasulullah (May Winged Peace) said,
Asking about the orders of believers, all his commands are better, and that is not for anyone except believers, if he suffers from his secret, and he is a good thing, and he is a little patient, so it’s better for himُ
“Really amazing the situation of a believer. All his affairs are good. This is not obtained except for a believer. If you get pleasure, then he is grateful. That is good for him. If you get trouble, then he is patient. That is good for him.” [4]
This belief will make us more stable by stepping, because we only need to decide and try according to what we know. As for unknown, we leave it to Allah Story as a wise Essence. Faith in destiny will free us not only, but also in: Merdeka from non -productive regret over the past, as well as independence from concerns about the future.
Independent behind bars
Independence can not only be reviewed by birth, but also inwardly, and both do not always go hand in hand. For example, we hear a lot of the saga of the kings of the world who were born in an independence again free to do persecution. But behind that, the days filled with fear of the collapse of their power. In fact, without the need to be afraid, the fact is already bright: None of the creatures can be strong forever.
Conversely, sometimes a person is born to be not independent, but different from his heart. Let’s see for a moment the story of Sheikhul Islam Ibnu Taimiyah Rahimahullah. History records the time in which he was imprisoned by the authorities because of his determination in maintaining the purity of the creed, as well as his courage in criticizing various deviations in religious practices. As a great scholar with many more students have a broad influence, he could have refused the decision and raised resistance. However, he did not take the option. He felt more comfortable when his independence was taken away by inhabiting bars, rather than taking blood and “independence” of Muslims as a consequence of rebellion and civil war.
This choice actually made him feel more independent. In fact, from behind the bars this is the origin of his words that are still imprinted until now, “What my enemies do to me? Really, my heaven and the gardens are in my chest, he is with me and inseparable from me. If they imprison me, that is retreat (Cover with God) for me. If they kill me, then my death is martyr. If they kick me out of my country, then that is a tour. ”
He also said, “The prisoner is a person whose heart is imprisoned from (knowing) his master Story. ” [5]
He remained in that choice until some sources mentioned that he died in prison. The decision of Sheikhul Islam Ibn Taimiyah might make him look not independent in birth, but it was inner independence that he got.
Thus, hopefully we can take lessons so that we can become a complete human being. Wallahu Wallahu Immigrant.
