QUESTION:
Assalamu’alaikum Ustadz Farid. Permission to ask, this is a parent yet, it can’t be anchoring his children. if there is fortune, better aqiqah first or qurban first tadz?

ANSWER
Wa’alaikumussalam wa rahmatullah wa barakatuh ..
Some scholars say that aqiqah was first compared to qurban, such as qatadah rahimahullah, forbid al -Qur’an for those who do not know. He says:
It was not divided into it until it was disturbed
This is not legal for qurban until he is aqiqah first. (Ibn Abi Syaibah at Al Mushannaf no. 24269)
It’s just that this opinion is alone. Generally the scholars judge both as a sunnah which stands alone for different causes, and does not annul each other. Alias, there was no prohibition at all sacrificed first even though it was not aqiqah.
If the sustenance is field then just do both at the same time, in other words each animal for qurban and aqiqah, this is the opinion of the majority of scholars. But if in a difficult and narrow state of funds, please take opinions that allow sacrifices and aqiqah can be combined with one goat. This is the opinion of Hasan Al Bashri, Ibnu Sirin, Imam Ahmad, and others.
Sheikh Abdullah Al Faqih said:
The problem where these scholars are different in two words from those who allow it, such as the doctrine of Ahmad, may God forgive him, and those who agree. And some of them are prevented because what is meant is different, so what is meant by sacrifice is redemption and from the redemption of aqeeqah from children and therefore they do not interfere. There is no doubt that taking this statement is the first for those who have the capacity and ability to it.
The issue of intention to unite (qurban and aqiqah) is debated by scholars, some who allow it such as Imam Ahmad and the agreement.
Some of them forbade it, because both have different intentions. The sacrifice is a ransom for yourself, while aqiqah ransom for the birth of a child, therefore both do not cover each other.
Therefore, this is no doubt that this (prohibiting opinions) is a more important opinion to be followed for those who are free. There are several for the narrow provisions so that the opinion of Imam Ahmad is more important to him.
